MICRO-THIN WOOD DECKS

1. Do any needed construction. In this example, the USS Gambier Bay deck needs to be assembled according to the directions up to the point where the deck is mounted to the hull.

2.   Mask the edges of the deck and the hull (if attached) to prevent overspray. If you intend to spray the wood, no masking is needed.

3. In a well ventilated area, Spray 3M Super 77 to the mounting area.

4. Mount the deck to the kit and secure into place with tape to allow curing.

If possible, place the kit upside down on a flat surface and use a book to weight it. 30 minutes is usually enough time.

5. After curing, carefully remove the tape and you will see that there is a nicely mounted wood deck! If you have misaligned the deck, it is very easy to remove at this stage and begin at the start again.
