480-005   USS YORKTOWN CONVERSION SET

This set will convert and correct the Revell kit into either USS Yorktown (CV-5) or USS Enterprise (CV-6) thru the Spring of 1943. The set comes with the island and the 5" gallery guns. The 1.1" guns are included but can no longer be replaced as they were the reason we discontinued it, as they proved nearly impossible to cast with a resin strong enough to hold the shape yet flexible enough to go into the mold. The guns will be sold "as-is" and are very easy to fix with 0.015" rod cut to length.

To go along with our reissue of the conversion set, we are introducing the replacement flight decks for the kit. Each Deck is custom cut to represent any of the three units of the class at a particular point in time.

480-505   USS YORKTOWN FLIGHT DECK 1942 $25 + S&H

The Yorktown deck is proper for installation as either the Yorktown or Enterprise in 1942.

480-506   USS ENTERPRISE FLIGHT DECK 1944 $25 + S&H

The Enterprise deck is proper for installation on Enterprise following her 1943-44 refit

480-508   USS HORNET FLIGHT DECK 1942   $25 + S&H

The Hornet deck is proper for anytime during the year she was in commission.

This set contains propellers, main landing gear, tail wheels and tail hooks for 10 fighters. The set can also be used for F2F & F3F aircraft.

This set contains propellers, main landing gear, tail wheels and tail hooks for 10 bombers. The set can also be used for other similar aircraft.

This set contains propellers, main landing gear, tail wheels and tail hooks for 10 "torpeckers". The set can also be used to outfit five B-25 bombers with slight modification.
